How can you go wrong on a BluRay system for $150?, August 19, 2012

This review is from: Samsung HT-D4500 Blu-Ray Home Theatre System (Electronics)

Okay, so it’s not a top-of-the-line system. But it’s BluRay, FM tuner, subwoofer and 5 speakers for $150. It’s great for what it is. That’s the only reason for 4 stars.

Sound is good enough for me – I only wanted something better than my TV’s sound for watching movies, and listening to the radio and CDs so I don’t need the TV on. Sound is 100x better than my TV, but nothing like a $1000 home stereo system, but why would I expect it to be?

Startup is a LOT faster than my Sony system, and the menu/navigation is a lot better (faster, more responsive) than the stand-alone Toshiba networked (wired) BluRay I replaced with this system.

I also have a Samsung TV, and the integration is nice between the two (turn off the TV and the DVD goes off automatically if watching a movie).
